Feel like a kid again and enjoy viewing and purchasing collectible toys later this month in Almonte. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County is hosting its second annual Toy Show and Sale at the Almonte Civitan hall on January 24th.

Doors open at 9am and the show runs until 2pm. It is only a one day show, so come early to ensure you’re not disappointed.

The agency is striving to present a well balanced selection of contemporary and vintage diecast replicas ranging from farm toys, construction equipment to truck replicas. NASCAR , car replicas and other vehicle offerings will also be showcased. Model trains will also be available to view and purchase, along with many other collectible toys. New this year there will be collectible dolls and teddy bears for sale, so bring the whole family as there is something for everyone!

Vendors and exhibitors are booked from all over Eastern Ontario, but many of them are local collectors from LanarkCounty. Rod Merrithew, volunteer organizer of the event, is also a collector, and will have a display as well. Rod is known for his Tonka collection, and this, among many other displays, makes for a great show and sale!

Admission is only $5 at the door, with children under 12 free. There will be door prizes to make this day even more entertaining, and draws will be held hourly. The Almonte Civitan Club will have their canteen open for the event.

All net proceeds from the Toy Show will be used to help fund mentoring programs through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County.
