The United Way of Lanark County has served the communities of Lanark County and Smiths Falls for over 22 years. The United Way network consists of 16 member agencies offering residents over 45 programs/services. The United Way has 5 programs accessible to charitable organizations and individuals. In 2008 the network assisted 7,563 residents in the community we serve.

Salary:           $35,000 to $40,000

Hours:             35 hrs/week some evenings and weekends

The successful candidate must have:

Ø      Strong interpersonal skills

Ø      Experience in grant writing and fundraising

Ø      Sound financial background

Ø      Effective administrative skills

Ø      Demonstrated planning and innovation skills

Ø      Experience working with volunteer boards and committees

Ø      Experience working with community and social service agencies

Ø      Self motivation, ability to work without supervision

Ø      Sound computer skills with Microsoft products

Ø      Criminal reference check required

Ø      Valid driver’s licence with reliable vehicle

Ø      References required
