The Almonte Legion was bursting with love for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County as they once again hosted their annual Dart Tournament in support of the local agency on Valentine’s Day weekend.

12 teams participated, and raised almost $900 to provide mentoring programs in LanarkCounty.

“Partnering with the Legion on this event is always such a pleasure,” says Brad Larcoque, Program Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters “They put on a great tournament, and work hard to ensure that they support our agency in any way they can. They truly help us share a little magic with children in LanarkCounty.”

Organized by Legion members Larry Morton and Elaine Madore, the Legion was happy to help once again. “I really enjoy the event,” Says Madore, who has been instrumental in organizing it each year.

The winning team included Dave Creighton, Alice Armstrong, and Kim and Mike Gulis.

2nd place team consisted of Derek Campeau, Katie Lane, Dave and Sherri Stoodley. 3rd place was Edith Leeshman, Cheryl Wilson, Mike Anderson and Rob Madore.

Mens High Open was Tom Roberts, High Score and High Finish Allen Campeau.

Women's High Open was Fiona McPhail, High Score was Patty Johnson and High Finish Kim Gulis.

The Legion Bingo also supported BBBS this month with a donation of $400 from its charity bingo fund.
