Big Brothers Big Sisters is not a government funded agency, therefore we rely heavily on our Bowl for Kids event to fund our programs.
Bowl for Kids in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County has been a fund raising event for the local agency for over 30 years. Over 650 bowlers took part last year, and our event raised over $68,000 after expenses – that’s 27% of the agency’s annual revenue for the whole year! This revenue helped us serveover 200 children last year throughout LanarkCounty.
This year’s event will be February 26th, 2011.
There are many ways you, your family, your friends or your business can get involved. We are looking for bowling teams to bowl at any of the three bowling alleys in LanarkCounty and raise pledges for our agency programs. You can get started by calling the office!
Also, for the first time, we are signing out our new Wii bowling kits for your home or workplace Wii bowling events.
